Student Clubs

Yıldız Technical University has 55 student clubs that are formed and run by YTU students. Students who participate in these clubs can improve themselves in social and academic sense, hasten their adaptation to the environment of the university and take part in important events, learning how to be a team player.

Yıldız Student Guidance and Career Development Center

Yıldız Student Guidance and Career Development Center aims to assist students of the university with relating their values, interests, skills and abilities and lifestyle preferences to their career choices, exploring career options, preparing for the opportunities and using the university’s dynamic network to establish the necessary connections so that they can make informed and fulfilling career choices.

Religion & Practice

Throughout history, Istanbul has been a home for people with different backgrounds. As a result, you can find neighbourhoods housing people with different religions. According to 2000 census, there are 123 active churches, 20 active synagogues, and 2691 mosques in Istanbul. People are free to practice their religion, and this is stated in the secular constitution of the Republic of Turkey.

There are prayer rooms on both campuses at Yıldız Technical University which can be used by people practising any religion.

Student ID Card

You will receive your YTU ID card after your first or second week that will allow you to enter campus, borrow books from the library, and access other student services. You will be informed about when to get your card by our YTU International Relations Office Units.

IETT Card

IETT Card is what you use for transportation. For the discounted card, you need your student ID and you need to apply for it.More information will be provided upon arrival.
